About Us
Kingdom Foundation Institute, Inc. was incorporated in 2021 as a Not-for-Profit Corporation in Montserrado County — but the school itself is very much older than that.
Who we are
A model K–12 school, and a teacher-training institute.
Kingdom Foundation Institute (KFI), Inc. sits in the Diamond Creek area of the Soul Clinic Community in Paynesville, Liberia. Its educational services and programs continue to include a model K–12 education.
We are committed to delivering transformative education grounded in Christian values, through excellent curriculum and ongoing teacher development — fostering a culture of excellence in our institution and beyond.
That last phrase matters. KFI welcomes the wider school community to its targeted trainings and teacher professional development for education quality assurance in schools across Liberia. We are not only trying to run one good school; we are trying to raise the floor for everyone's.

Our story
Twenty-nine years, told plainly.
“Start by doing what is necessary, then do what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” The Founding Principal quotes this often. The dates on the right are what it looked like in practice.
1996
A school begins at home
Jonathan and Comfort Enders, then full-time missionaries with the Great Commission Movement of Liberia (Cru International), begin schooling their own three children while in refuge from the war — using an international, Christian-based curriculum. The school has no name yet.
1998
The family returns to Liberia
The “school at home” continues after the Enders family returns home to Liberia.
2000
First operational permit
The school obtains its first operational permit from the Ministry of Education, Liberia — and adds one more child.
2003
Two buildings, two neighbourhoods
Through donations in cash and in kind, the school grows out of the Enders home into two buildings made of oil-palm straw and tarpaulins, serving 114 children across two neighbourhoods.
2008
A permanent campus
The grand opening of the current permanent 18-classroom one-storey building, graced by the presence of the President of Liberia.
2011
The first graduates
The first batch of four twelfth-grade graduates, including two of the Enders' own children.
2019
National Jolly Phonics pilot
KFI serves as a national pilot in Jolly Phonics teachers' training (2019–2020), extending early-literacy method to schools across Liberia.
2021
Incorporated as a not-for-profit
Kingdom Foundation Institute, Inc. is incorporated as a Not-for-Profit Corporation in the County of Montserrado, Republic of Liberia.
Leadership
Our senior management team
Two of the three began this school in their own home. The third runs it day to day.
Mrs. Comfort A. Enders, M.Ed.
Founding Principal / Chief Consultant
Co-founded the school in 1996 while in refuge, teaching her own three children. Leads curriculum design and the school's teacher-development consultancy.
Mr. Jonathan G. Enders, B.Sc.
K–12 Program Director
Co-founder and Program Director, overseeing the K–12 programme, admissions and the school's community outreach projects.
Mr. Benjamin Geeton, M.A.
K–12 Building Principal
Responsible for day-to-day academic leadership, staff supervision and student life on the Diamond Creek campus.
